Anniversary Card | Ellen Hutson - Whimsy Stamps - Simon Says Stamp

Hello!

I've got a real product mash-up for you today using some of my favorites from Ellen Hutson, Whimsy Stamps and Simon Says Stamp! The Mondo Gerbera Daisy Stamp Set from Ellen Hutson has long been a favorite and I watercolored it in a palette of pinks & peaches! The flower was die cut and I added an extra die cut to the back for strength.

Next, I stamped the background circular pattern on an A2 card panel using the Simon Says Stamp's "AMAZING" clear stamp set and my MISTI. The panel was spritzed with shimmer mist and spattered with gold metallic watercolor for a bit of sparkle!

I glued the background panel onto the front of an A2 top-folding card base and popped up the flower stem with foam tape. I cut the "HAPPY" Large Word Die, from Whimsy Stamps, from both black card stock and hot pink glitter paper, glued them into place and stamped the word sentiment underneath to finish up the card! I really like the abstract circle pattern in the background - it looks like both flowers and fireworks! in this design!

Thanks so much for joining me today and happy crafting!

Stamptember 2021 | Simon Says Stamp - Picket Fence Studios - "Sarcastic Kitties"

Hello!

We are celebrating "STAMPtember" with the amazing folks over at Simon Says Stamp and Nicole has created a special stamp set, "Sarcastic Kitties",  just for this Exclusive Collaboration Event! This set is so much fun and features lots of cute cats paired with sarcastic sentiments - perfect for all of your feline-loving friends & family! This is a limited edition stamp/die set and once it's sold out it's gone forever so be sure to pick yours up today!

I began with a stenciled base panel using the "Center Flower Stencil 6 x 6" and ink blended the pattern with "Salty Ocean" & "Prize Ribbon" Distress Oxide Inks and my "Life Changing Blender Brushes". The panel was spritzed with pearl mist, spattered with pearlized paint, trimmed down to fit an A2 top-folding card base and attached onto the card front.

I stamped the large sitting cat/heart images with Picket Fence Studios' "Black Hybrid Ink", and they were watercolored/fussy cut. The NEW "Happy Birthday Word Topper Die" image was selectively die cut 3 times from 110# Neenah Solar White Card Stock and glued together for stacked dimension. This die cut panel was trimmed to size, the sentiment was stamped using my MISTI and it was attached to the stenciled background.

I popped the cat/heart images into place with foam tape and added a few of the NEW Moonshine Sequins to finish up the card!

Head over to Simon Says Stamp to pick up these "Sarcastic Kitties" today!

Thanks for stopping by and take care!

Happy crafting - Rachelle

All Occasion Card | Simon Says Stamp/Neat & Tangled - Hello Pumpkin

Hello!

I think I can almost feel a cool down starting in my neck of the woods (or maybe it's just wishful
thinking considering it was almost 90 degrees this afternoon with a relative humidity of 99% here in North Carolina?) and I believe it may be due to the "Everything Pumpkin" display that I saw today at my local Whole Foods Store! Pumpkin puree - pumpkin flavored tea - pumpkin spice muffin mix - harvest pumpkin craft beer...you get the idea! Well that put me in the mood to get started on some autumn-inspired cards!

This cute bundled bear is a part of Simon Says Stamp's Stamptember 2017 Neat & Tangled Set and is combined with Hello Bluebird and Sunny Studios products. I am basing the card layout on this week's Retro Rubber Stamp Challenge Sketch #118.

I used Distress Oxide Inks and blended them through Hero Arts' Woodgrain Stencil onto a piece of 110# Neenah Solar White card stock, spritzed it with shimmer spray, die cut a panel and adhered it to a top-folding A-2 card base. I ink blended a piece of the same cardstock with Wild Honey and Fossilized Amber and die cut it with Sunny Studios Scalloped Square Dies - a panel was lightly ink blended with a circle/diamond stencil, cut to fit behind the square die cut frame and adhered into place.

I smooshed a mix of autumn-toned Distress Oxide inks onto my craft mat, spritzed them with water and daubed pieces of the Neenah card stock into the inked areas. I tapped the paper numerous times until I got the depth of color and mix that I wanted and I set these pieces aside to dry. Hello Bluebird has so many great stand-alone dies and one of my favorites is the Gallery Frame #3, which has some added leaf and pumpkin die cuts. This is such a wonderful die set and I used it to cut multiple leaves, acorns and pumpkin images from my inked papers.

I stamped the bear with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and water colored/die cut the image. I glued it into the scalloped frame and stamped the sentiment using the MISTI. This entire piece was glued onto the wood grain panel (following the sketch) and the autumn die cuts were added to the left-bottom corner. The card was finished with a sprinkling of assorted sequins and a light application of Wink of Stella clear shimmer.
