Happy Friday!
I've got a CAS design for you today that's really for the birds! And that's because over on the Alphabet Challenge, "B" is for "Bird" this go around! I've got two nieces (sisters in fact) who are both pregnant right now and I am lucky enough to have more great nephews on the way this summer! Yippee! So this card is going with the shower gift for the younger of the two!
I inked a panel with Pink & Main's "Cracked" Stencil using Tumbled Glass DOI, spritzed it with shimmer mist, trimmed it to 3.75" x 5", and attached it to a top-folding A2 card base. The images from Ellen Hutson's "Backyard Bird Friends" were stamped, water colored and die cut. I wanted the egg to be a bit bigger than the one in the stamp set so I just drew one with a marker and fussy cut it to fit into the nest!
All of the images were glued onto the stenciled panel, the sentiment was stamped using the MISTI and I added several sequins to finish up the card. We are looking forward to seeing your birds in our gallery!
Take care and have a wonderful weekend!!!

ReplyDeletecongratulations on the impending arrivals lovely baby card like the stencil background thanks for joining us at Creative Knockouts
ReplyDeleteThis really is a wonderful baby card, I'd never think of using a bird theme for the occasion - but then again, nests and eggs are probably one of the best symbols of new life. I love the effect of the geometric stencil in the background, such a contrast to mama bird and her precious nest.
