For my card, I placed the NEW Waffle Flower Stencil Mat down onto my glass mat and it grabbed solidly onto the surface. A piece of Neenah 100# Solar White card stock was fitted into the top right corner and Picket Fence Studios’ Slim Line “Rainbow” Stencil was placed on top and secured with a couple of pieces of tape. I was able to put a couple of Distress Oxide Ink containers right onto the mat along side of the card stock and they stayed securely in place while I picked up ink color using my “Life Changing Blender Brushes!” I easily dabbed the excess ink onto the mat and blended my colors together before adding them to the stencil and clean up was a cinch with just a damp paper towel. This silicone surface really grabs/holds items in place and I like the fact that the surface is white because I sometimes the colors I’m working with tend to get ‘lost” on my black glass mat.

I blended “Twisted Citron”, “Salvaged Patina” and “Peacock Feathers” Distress Oxide Inks, spritzed the panel with pearl mist, and spattered it with multiple pearl watercolors. This panel was set aside to dry in a heavy book, trimmed to 8.5” x 3.5” and attached to a slim line card base.

I barely dipped my media knife into the “C” container of the NEW Paper Glaze Ombre “Nutcracker Ballet” Lux and wiped it into a section of my plastic palette. I diluted this with a small amount of water, gave it a quick stir and randomly painted it onto a small piece of black card stock. This dried in about 10 minutes and was cut with the “Escape” word die cut. I backed this an additional black die cut and attached this stack onto a white card stock shadow cut. I really like how the Lux color and glitter flash across the word die and this was so simple to do!

I stamped the NEW Torch Ginger Tropical Flower image with “Worn Lipstick” Distress Oxide Ink, water colored it with the no-line painting technique and fussy cut the image. The lily pad image from the “Pond Scenery” Stamp Set was stamped, watercolored and fussy cut along the outer edge.  Here are the Torch Ginger Tropical Flower Stamp Set and the coordinating dies - I love how you can mix-n-match the die cut word "escape" with the rest of the stamped sentiment for lots of different looks!

To create my Zen water lily scene, I adhered the lily pad onto the stenciled panel and popped up the flower with foam tape. The word die cut stack was glued beneath and I added a few sequins from the “Spring Fling” Sequin Mix to finish up this card!

Thanks so much for hanging with me today for this post and I hope you'll head over to Instagram to join our Blog Hop!
