Hi there!
I’ve got a bright colorful Christmas scene for you today featuring a NEW Paper Glitz Color, “Navy Wingtips”! This primary blue color is so much fun and I paired it with my fairytale pink house!
I spread a thin layer of the Navy Wingtips Paper Glitz around the outside of an A2-sized panel of blue card stock and set it aside to dry. This Paper Glitz color has so many different tones of glitter - blues, turquoise, white, silver - and it’s super sparkly!
"Winter Has Come To Town" Stamp Set
I stamped the street scene from the NEW "Winter Has Come To Town” Set, (see above) watercolored just the middle house/decorated tree and fussy cut this away from the rest of the scene, adding tiny slits along each side of the Christmas tree. I ink blended an A2 panel with Distress Oxide Inks - “Prize Ribbon” (this matches the "Navy Wingtips" perfectly!), “Worn Lipstick” and “Picked Raspberry” - sprayed it with water and spattered it with white opaque paint; this panel was attached to an A2 top-folding card base.
I cut a sloped panel from white card stock, added a bit of light inking for snow shadows, and stamped the sentiment from this same set using my MISTI. I carefully slipped this panel up and under the tree's slits to create a snowbank in front of the house and taped it in place on the backside. This panel was popped up with foam tape, attached to the card front and a few of the NEW “Iridescent Moonshine” Sequins were added.
I die cut the Paper Glitz panel with the A2 Trees Silhouette Cover Plate Die and glued/backed it with two additional die cuts for strength and dimension. This tree frame was adhered onto the front to finish up the card! I just love that pink house in the snowy winter scene!
