Christmas Card | Picket Fence Studios - "Holly Jolly Christmas" Stamp Set

Hey there!

I'm so excited to be working on Christmas cards with the heat index at 98 degrees outside today and I'm hoping to feel the chill of cool breeze at some point! I love painting traditional winter foliage for my holiday projects and this new berry/leaf cluster is from Picket Fence Studios' latest release - "Holly Jolly Christmas" Stamp and coordinating Die Set. This set consists of this large main image and several great sentiments!

I stamped the image with Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink and watercolored it with the no-line technique. It took me about 2 hours to complete this watercoloring and then I die cut cut the image.

I die cut the large "Alice" Snowflake twice, glued/stacked them together, lightly coated the top with "Sparkle" Paper Glitz and set it aside to dry. The sentiment was stamped onto the white cardstock panel, measuring 3.75" x 5", and I added the stamped "Handmade Twine Bows" images to the bottom. This panel was then attached to a kraft card base.

I chose an assortment of sequins from the "Fireplace Stockings" and "A Snowy Season" Sequins Mix Plus sets and glued them to the white card stock base. The large snowflake was adhered into place on top and the holly cluster was popped up with foam tape to finish up the card! This is such a great main image and can be colored in so many different ways!

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment - I really appreciate it!

  5. Hi Rachelle! How beautiful, your no line coloring is perfect (that two hours paid off!) and I was fooled by the stamped twine until I took a closer look. Great card, happy to see you playing along at Sparkles Christmas Challenge.
