Birthday Card | Graciellie Design - "Time To Let Go"

Hello!

Today's card features the floral element from Gracie's latest release, "Time To Let Go." I wanted the bouquet to be larger than the A2 card base and be a main focal point. After I sized and printed the image, it was colored using the smooshing technique on my glass mat with Altenew Watercolors. I spattered more color where it was needed and flecked it with large dots of gold and pearl paint. After it was dry, I fussy cut the image.

I inked blended a panel using Twisted Citron, Evergreen Bough and Peacock Feathers DO Inks. Then I went back and deepened the colors by stenciling the colored in reverse order using Pink & Main's "Mandala Stencil." I sprayed the panel with Shimmer Mist and set it aside to dry in a heavy book.

The stenciled panel was trimmed to 3.75" x 5" and attached to a top-folding A2 card base with liquid adhesive. The sentiment (from the "Hey Beautiful" Stamp Set) was printed onto heavy weight vellum, die cut and attached to the front. The floral was popped up with foam tape and I added several matte gold sequins. This card is so bright and cheery it's almost tropical! Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a great week!
