Happy Friday!
We are on to the letter "D" over at the Alphabet Challenge and this time is stands for either Dragon or Dinosaur! We hope to see lots of fire breathing and/or prehistoric creatures in our gallery!
This slimline design started with three Distress Oxide Ink panels and were all centered/layered onto a slimline card base.
1) The base is a blend of Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet - 4" x 9"
2) "Dotty Stencil" polka dot panel of Spun Sugar (with just a touch of Shaded Lilac) - 3.75" x 8.75"
3) Top panel blended with Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet - cut with both circles and a stitched Slimline Die - 3.5" x 8.5"
I stamped, colored and die cut the dragon images from the "Oh Happy Day" Stamp Set - backing each with an extra blank die cut. Clouds were die cut from both white card stock (inked on the edges) and lilac glitter paper from the "Spring Glitter Paper Pack". The sentiments were stamped onto the white clouds using the MISTI. The stamped and die cut pieces were attached onto the inked panels with either glue or foam tape and I added pink/purple "Starlight Gems" to finish up the card.
We look forward to seeing your "D" projects at the Alphabet Challenge! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteThis is probably one of the best dragon creations I've ever seen, I don't even know where to start. I love all the shades of purple and pink, and how you've chosen to work with really bold colours. I love the dragon birthday, the glitter and the polka dots in the background. And especially I like to see how each of you have interpreted the challenge theme in such unique ways - from baby to masculine I think you have covered everything.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear you'll be cutting down on your crafting time in future, and hope you'll continue to spoil us with your art every now and then.
Hugs, Veronika
