Halloween Card | Whimsy Stamps - "Grumpin' Punkins'" Clear Stamps

 

YAY!

I have a project featuring the AMAZING NEW "BOOkeh" 6x6 Paper Pack! There are so many great designs in this pack and I hope Whimsy Stamps will create more designs in this line! I paired this orange/yellow background with the NEW "Grumpin' Punkins" Clear Stamp Set for design that looks like it's lit from behind!

I started by stamping all of the pumpkins on white card stock. I wanted the the images to fade into the black panel on the bottom so I added more shadow grass at the bottom with a black marker and watercolored each of the images. They were all fussy cut and the grass margins at the bottom ended up being about 50% larger than the original stamp image. In order to highlight the grass, I painted in the leaves with gold metallic paint, that would match my embossing powder.

The BOOkeh paper was trimmed and attached to fit an A2 card base and then I played with the pumpkins/black panel until I landed on what I felt was the right proportion. I prepped the black card stock with my anti-static powder tool, stamped the sentiment with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with gold powder. This panel was adhered to the card front, the punkins were glued into place to cover the top line of the sentiment panel and some bright gold confetti finished up the card!
