Christmas Gift Tag Ornament | October Guest Designer Spot | Graciellie Design - New Mini Release "All is Calm"

Woot Woot!

I am so excited to announce that I have been invited to be a guest designer over at Graciellie Design this month! : ) Yippee! Gracie is such a wonderful artist and her images are so much fun to color...so I was ECSTATIC when she asked me to design projects with her new 2020 Christmas mini-release: "All is Calm." This set features a beautiful pine cone/mistletoe image and several contemporary sentiments!

I decided to create a gift tag ornament that can be used on packaging but is also the perfect size as a keepsake for the Christmas tree! I downloaded the .png file, sized and printed it on 100# card stock; the image was watercolored and fussy cut.

To create the shaker, I backed the scallop die cut with acetate and attached a 1/8" strip of double-sided foam tape to the outer perimeter. I die cut a circle (the same size) from heavy red card stock, piled my shaker bits in the center and adhered the acetate panel on top. For the tag loop, I adhered a piece of green crushed velvet ribbon to the back of the red card stock with Scor-Tape.

I used one of the sentiments on the back circle die cut, and glued an extra blank to it to give it some strength before attaching it with Scor Tape. I adhered the pine cone to the front with foam tape and finished the tag with a baker's twine bow!

I will be sharing a couple more projects showcasing this new set later this week! Head over to Graciellie Design to check out the latest products! Thanks so much for joining me today and for taking the time to comment!
